2026 Airstrip Attack Point Series Guide

Shift-S3ctor proudly welcomes drivers and teams to the 2026 Airstrip Attack Half Mile Championship Season, where we will crown a season champion in each competition class. Champions will receive cash awards and exclusive sponsor prizes at the conclusion of the season.


 

Class Breakdown & Sponsors

We extend our gratitude to our presenting season sponsors for their support of this championship series:

  • AWD (ALL WHEEL DRIVE)
    Vehicles equipped with four-wheel drivetrains.

  • 2WD (TWO WHEEL DRIVE)
    Vehicles with front-wheel or rear-wheel drivetrains.

  • Manual Unlimited (MANUAL GEAR BOX)
    Manual transmission vehicles with clutch use required. No sequential gearboxes permitted. No gear limit (e.g., 7-speed manual is allowed).

  • Sedan (FOUR DOORS)
    Vehicles with a minimum of four doors. Wagons and SUVs permitted if they meet the door requirement.

  • N/A (Naturally Aspirated)
    Naturally aspirated engines only. No turbochargers, superchargers, nitrous, or electric motors.

  • Ethanol (GAS)
    Vehicles must run on ethanol-based fuel.

  • Motorcycle (TWO WHEELS)
    Open exclusively to motorcycles

  • Manual Six Limited Class (V6 & UNDER)
    Vehicles limited to six cylinders or fewer and must use a standard H-pattern manual gearbox.
    Dog boxes and sequential transmissions are not permitted.

  • Women’s Class (WOMEN ONLY)
    Open to female drivers competing in any eligible vehicle type.

 

 

Season Championship Payouts

At the end of the season, the top finishers in each class will receive:

  • 1st Place: $3,000 cash + sponsor prize package

  • 2nd Place: $1,000 cash + sponsor prize package

Winners do not need to be present to collect their championship trophy or prizes.
Cash and product payouts are subject to change based on event adjustments or unforeseen circumstances.

 


 

Points System: How to Earn

Championship points are awarded per class, per event day, as follows:

  • 1 Point: Make at least one pass during the day

  • +2 Points: Advance to the Semi-Finals (Top 4)

  • +2 Points: Advance to the Finals (Top 2)

  • +3 Points: Win your class Final

A maximum of 8 points per day can be earned.

  • 16 points per weekend (2-day events)

  • 24 points at Indy (3-day event)

 

Tiebreakers

In the event of a points tie at season’s end, the champion will be determined by the highest trap speed achieved in their class over the course of the season.


 

Event Trophies

Trophies for 1st and 2nd place in each class will continue to be awarded at every Airstrip Attack event throughout the season.
